When it comes to your ideal college life, where you live on campus might be as big a factor for you as academics. That’s why we go to great lengths to provide a safe, comfortable living space in which you can thrive, full of fun, educational programs and supportive staff.

Living on campus is a big deal at York College. In fact, if you aren’t a commuter, we require it. Why? In part because we see how much of a positive impact it can have when students live in close proximity to classes and to their classmates. When you’re in an inclusive community that cares about you, you’ll find it easier to adapt to college and be successful.

We offer modern living with apartments, houses, and suites for upperclassmen - Little Run Lodge has its own cafeteria and mail center! -  as well as traditional college halls. On-campus, you’re never too far away from food, class, the fitness center and more.

Housing options
Most of our housing is co-ed and based on year. Get a sense of where you’ll call home, as well as more about our residency requirement and off-campus living policy.

Important information and forms

  • Housing Break Dates and Stay-Over Request Forms

    Housing Break Dates 2017-2018

    Semester Break 2017-2018

    Finals Week: December 13-19
    Commencement: December 20
    Housing stay-over request form (available 11/27)

    Only students directly involved in commencement may stay until 5 p.m. on the day of commencement.  All other students must leave as soon as possible after their last final with the latest time to leave being 2 p.m. on December 19, 2017.  If you have a late final or another academic reason requiring you to stay late, please complete the break request to stay form. Residence halls re-open on Monday, January 15, 2018, at 9 am.

    Spring Semester Opening

    Monday, January 15, 2018, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    New/Transfer Students may check-in at the Office Office of Residence Life.

    Monday, January 15, 2018, after 9 a.m.
    Returning students may begin moving back.

    Wednesday, January 17, 2018, classes begin.

    Winter Break

    Residence halls close: Friday, February 23, by 8 p.m.
    Residence halls open: Sunday, March 4, after 12 noon

    The York College CARE Team

    Our CARE team works with various departments on campus to assist students with medical, social, and academic concerns. The team works to connect with students of concern to provide individualized resources and support for their personal and professional success. We're here for whatever you or a friend of yours needs to be in the best possible position for success and wellness.
