Improve your SAT scores with York College's SAT Preparation Course. This course incorporates the NEW SAT testing requirements with a revised focus on Writing, Critical Reading and Mathematics.

Important changes incorporated in the NEW SAT Test and incorporated in the York College preparation course include, but are not limited to:

  • A writing section with an essay and questions
  • A critical reading section
  • Analogies will be eliminated - short reading passages will be added
  • The math content will be expanded to include content typically taught in third-year math classes(usually called Algebra II)
  • Quantitative comparisons will be eliminated
  • Sets, exponents, absolute value, properties of parallel/perpendicular lines, data interpretation and etc will be added
