Graduate Admissions

International MBA Students

Thank you for your interest in York College of Pennsylvania. Upon receipt of ALL of the required application materials including those indicated below, we will carefully review them and inform you of our decision on your admission as a FULL-TIME student to the MBA Program at York College. Applications and all supporting documentation must be received no later than:
  • May 1st for Fall (September) applicants
  • September 1st for Spring (January) applicants

A. ACADEMIC

  1. A completed APPLICATION FOR GRADUATE ADMISSION with a $50.00 non- refundable application fee in the form of U.S. Dollar check or International Money Order.
  2. Two completed RECOMENDATION FORMS.
  3. OFFICIAL copy of your academic transcripts with a CERTIFIED ENGLISH TRANSLATION of all records. For credential evaluation of foreign transcripts, you may contact World Education Services www.wes.org, International Education Research Foundation, Inc. www.ierf.org or Education Evaluators International, Inc. www.educei.com. For a list of other credential evaluators visit www.naces.org
  4. Results of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). You may register for the GMAT at http://www.mba.com/.

Applicants must achieve 1000 admission points based on the following formula: 200 times the cumulative undergraduate grade point average (UGPA) plus the GMAT score; i.e. (200 X UGPA) + GMAT = 1000 points. The UGPA is the average (on a 0.00 - 4.00 scale) of those courses completed by the applicant to earn their first baccalaureate degree.

B. LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

  1. Official results of Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) http://www.toefl.org/ OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) http://www.ielts.org/  for English as a second language speakers

A minimum TOEFL score of 530 (paper), 200 (computer) or 72(IBT) OR IELTS score of 6 is required for admission.

C. STUDENT VISA ELIGIBILITY (I-20 document cannot be issued for NON DEGREE candidates)

  1. A completed YORK COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FORM 
  2. A completed YORK COLLEGE FINANCIAL CERTIFICATION FORM along with YORK COLLEGE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT and supporting financial documentation*.
  3. If you are or have been attending college in the U.S. with an F-1 visa, you must complete the YORK COLLEGE SEVIS TRANSFER FORM.

* International students must be financially independent and capable of bearing all the costs associated with attending York College of Pennsylvania as the college does not have scholarships or financial aid available to assist foreign students
