All graduates of York College and its predecessor institutions York Junior College, York Collegiate Institute, and York County Academy, automatically become members of the Alumni Association. The Alumni Association promotes the interests of the college by organizing programs for alumni, informing them of the progress and needs of their alma mater, and providing them with certain benefits and services.
The association sponsors programs such as Fall Fest Weekend, Spring Alumni Weekend, class and affinity reunions, and other events that bring alumni back to campus. The association also supports a network of six Alumni Chapters that provide programs and services to regional areas where large numbers of alumni work and live. Alumni are regularly informed and updated about the college through publications such as York College Magazine, and through our interactive online Alumni Community. The association sponsors a number of programs for undergraduates that are designed to inform students of the opportunities they have to remain involved with the college as alumni.
Alumni have a number of opportunities to serve the college as volunteers, including chapter planning committees, career mentoring, and the Alumni Board of Directors, the governing body of the Alumni Association. Thousands of alumni support the college financially as well, enabling the college to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students.
The staff of the Alumni Relations Office, along with the members of the Alumni Board, is available to address alumni questions and concerns, and assist alumni who want to plan reunions or events. Our main purpose and highest priority is keeping alumni of York College connected to their alma mater.
