Eight York College students have been named University Innovation Fellows, a program that empowers students to become agents of change at their schools. They join 221 others from 62 higher education institutions in 10 countries named to the program run by Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design
York College’s Department of Campus Safety was recently awarded accreditation from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA). York College becomes only the third college or university in Pennsylvania and the 51st in the country to be awarded this accreditation.
York College’s Alumni Relations Office presented five awards at an Oct. 6 Fall Fest ceremony. Recipients were: Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award – Cynthia (Moyer) Dotzel ’76 of York; Distinguished Recent Graduate Award – Graham Lau ’07 of Boulder, Col.; Distinguished Alumni Service Award – Melanie (Groft) Cohen ’02 of Chalfont, Pa.; Alumni Professional Excellence Award – Lawrence Raff ’88 of Verona, N.J.; and Professional Service and Leadership Award – Cynthia Crimmins of York, Director of the York College Center for Academic Innovation.
