Digital Pedagogy Grant
All faculty members at York College of Pennsylvania are eligible to apply for a Digital Pedagogy Grant, which is designed to cover expenses associated with testing e-learning tools. Submissions will be considered on a rolling basis throughout the academic year, or until funds are expended. - Problem/need: the degree to which the technology addresses a significant pedagogical need and its likelihood of success in addressing the need specified
- Teaching innovation and student engagement: the degree to which the technology is innovative for the individual, the department, or the field, and is pedagogically sound; and the degree in which the technology increases student engagement
- Potential impact: the potential that the technology has for enhancing student engagement, active learning, meeting learning outcomes and increasing student success, as well as the plan for sharing what is learned
- Evaluation: the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation process in assessing the impact of the project on student learning
Funding may be awarded for up to $1,500 per project (higher awards will be considered for projects engaging large numbers of students) and may be used only for the purposes stated in the proposal. The grant funds must be used by June 15 of the same fiscal year and may not be used to purchase gift cards or to directly compensate YCP employees. All software must be ADA compliant and approved by the Department of Information Technology. Recipients will submit update reports within one year to the CAI Director. All awards are subject to the availability of funds.
