C.S. Davidson, an engineering firm headquartered in York, has been a longtime supporter of York College’s Civil Engineering program and has hired a number of co-op students and several full-time employees from the program.

When the firm celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2023, the leadership at C.S. Davidson endowed a scholarship for a Civil Engineering student. The first recipient of that annual award was Daniel Coleman, a senior from Phoenixville, Pa. Like many other York College students before him, Coleman is currently working as a co-op at C.S. Davidson.

“C.S. Davidson has been a great industry partner in every sense for our young Civil Engineering program,” said Dr. Scott Hamilton, Professor of Civil Engineering. “Beyond providing this scholarship and hiring our students, they have come into our classes, provided field trip opportunities, coached and mentored our senior capstone teams, and provided seminars for our American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Student Chapter."

Kerryn Fulton, president and CEO of C.S. Davidson, is herself a strong champion for York College. She served as the first chair of the Civil Engineering Program Advisory Board and was instrumental in starting the program. She also annually offers a talk on Leadership Lessons Learned to students.

“The Civil Engineering program at York College brings tremendous value to the construction and engineering firms in this region, and C.S. Davidson proudly supports the program, faculty, and students.  We look forward to continuing our partnership with York College for many years to come.”
