Meet Jen Muston

Jen Muston enters her 18th season as one of the top coaches in the region. She owns a sterling record of 222-90 in her 17 years as the Spartan head coach, while York has also won the last three Middle Atlantic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championships. Her program has competed in the NCAA tournament 11 times, advancing to the national quarterfinal round five times.

Muston has coached 26 All-Americans, and four of her players have received the Division III National Player of the Year award: 2015, '19, ’23, and '24. Numerous players have received conference and national academic honor roll recognition, including multiple players named CSC and CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.

Along with her coaching duties, Muston has served as the SWA and Assistant Athletic Director since 2016. She has brought numerous guest speakers to campus over the years on topics spanning from mental health, Title IX, relationship violence, and bystander intervention. She is responsible for bringing the One Love Foundation Escalation workshop to campus in 2015, designed to inform and enlighten students on the signs of healthy versus unhealthy relationships, how to recognize these signs, and how to navigate these situations to help yourself or others. Since bringing this program to campus in 2015, every York College athlete has gone through the workshop at least once in their time here. In addition, 36 student-athletes have gone through training to become One Love campus ambassadors and escalation workshop leaders under her guidance.
