Welcome to our Spartan community!

Calling all accepted Spartans! Our Accepted Student Day is designed to get you excited for your first day as a York College Spartan! Join us on campus and get the information you need to take the next steps with York. Meet with Admissions Staff, current students, and departments across campus like Residence Life, Student Activities, Financial Aid, and more! This day is all about YOU and making sure you are fully prepared for your first day at York.

Accepted Student Day at a Glance

Here is a sample schedule of what you can expect during your Accepted Student Day. Please note that this is a general overview and not the finalized itinerary.

8:45 a.m.

Check-In -

Please enjoy coffee and refreshments in M&T Field House in the Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center. Be sure to check out our information tables, featuring staff from Admissions, Dining Services, Financial Aid, Library and Technology Services, the Business Office, and the York College Spartan Store.

9:15 a.m.

Welcome -

Hear remarks from York College President Dr. Thomas D. Burns, current York College students, and other members of the York College community.

10 a.m.

Academic Program Session

Parents:

Living, Leading, and Learning Presentation -

Join Sara Goodwin, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, and Robbie Bacon, Vice President of Student Life, to learn more about what your student can expect out of campus life at YCP!

10:45 a.m.

Tours begin outside of the Waldner Performing Arts Center (WPAC).

NOTE: Last tour will leave at 12:45 p.m. to transition families over to the Involvement Fair.

11:15 a.m.

Student and Family meetup outside at Schmidt Library entrance.

Student and Parent Panel* -

Who better to answer your questions about what life is like on campus than current Spartans and their families? This is your chance to learn about what to expect as a student at York College.

Money Matters* -

Join Eric Dinsmore, Senior Director of Financial Aid, and Vicki Clouser, Business Office Director, to learn more about financial aid and how to pay tuition bills.

12:15 p.m.

Lunch in Johnson Dining Hall*

1 p.m.

Involvement Fair -

Check out student clubs, organizations, and so much more! Discover how you will be involved from day one, and meet with representatives from Library and Technology Services, Student Accessibility Services, Career Development, Academic Advising, Residence Life, and others!

*Lunch and session rotation will be based on the student's program of interest at York College. The timeline above may not be the same for everyone in attendance.
