Meet Chris Keeney

Chris earned his Bachelor of Music (with Recording Technology) from Lebanon Valley College in 2004. Since then, he has worked as a performer, teacher, and recording engineer throughout the northeast. In addition to his work at YCP, Chris is head of the guitar programs at Franklin & Marshall and Lancaster Bible Colleges. Previously, he ran the guitar and recording programs at Albright College from 2005-2010.

Currently, Chris is a mixing/mastering engineer with IMMG Studios (Lancaster, PA). He's been fortunate to work on projects for regional, national, and international artists, as both an engineer/producer and studio musician. Recently, his professional focus has shifted heavily towards the use of Dolby Atmos for both music and media. He's been featured in publications for Blackmagic Design and has spoken at various conferences and trade shows about immersive music formats.

As a musician, Chris has had a wide range of gigging and touring opportunities. Over the years, he’s played with many jazz and rock groups, toured in extreme metal bands, played in regional orchestras, and joined backing bands for national and international artists. He's also done a significant amount of studio tracking work as a guitarist and bassist.

In addition to guitar, Chris also plays "most instruments with strings," and performs regularly on the oud. Since 2010, Chris has also been heavily involved in the theatre world in Central PA. He's worked with American Music Theater, Prima, Servant Stage, and others. Since mid-2017, Chris has been the primary guitarist at the Fulton Theatre in downtown Lancaster.
