Meet Gerald Siegel

Gerald Siegel, a specialist in American and popular literature, has taught a variety of literature and writing courses, most recently American literature, a specialized class in “The Literature of Terror,” and “Introduction to Literary and Textual Studies.” 

He has had a long interest in international education. His international teaching experience has included teaching as a Fulbright Professor at major universities in Yugoslavia, Belgium, and North Macedonia, and as a visiting professor at FON University in North Macedonia. 

He has edited and co-edited multiple volumes of translations of Macedonian poets. He has also served as a proposal reviewer for the Fulbright program. He’s currently active in the Fulbright Association and a Board member of the Pennsylvania College English Association. Before coming to York, he also taught at St. Mary’s College of MD and George Washington University. He is an army veteran.
