Megan E.B. Poff, B.A., M.M.
Meet Megan E.B. Poff
Megan Poff, a coloratura soprano, is most noted for her performance and research of Baroque and 20th Century Music. She is currently serving in the Music Department at York College of Pennsylvania and Sight & Sound Conservatory.
Her previous collegiate experience was teaching voice and music literature at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Megan holds a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Lee University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Mars Hill College with a minor in English. She completed her Graduate Certification in Writing at Millersville University and is continuing to pursue her Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in Music Criticism.
Regarding vocal training, she has studied with notable teachers in the industry such as Chery Brendel, Stella Zambalis, Julie Fortney, and Julianne Baird. As a performer, she has worked professionally as a Young Artist intern with the Asheville Lyric Opera singing in recitals and fulfilling various ensemble roles in shows such as Die Zauberflöte, Madame Butterfly, Lucia di Lammermoor, and Carmen. She is also an alumna from the esteemed Brevard Music Center Janiac Opera Company, Schumann Liederfest in Zwickau, International Baroque Institute at Longy, and the University of Michigan's inaugural program Singing Down the Barriers.
She is currently the main soprano for the historical ensemble group The Jane Austen Playlist.
