How It Works
1: Schedule Your Visit
Sign up for one of our Instant Decision Days. During these special events, you'll meet with an admissions counselor who will review your application materials on the spot.
2: Prepare Your Materials
Complete your application, and bring your official transcripts, test scores (if applicable), and any other required documents. Make sure your materials are organized and ready for review.
3: Meet with Our Admissions Team
On the day of your visit, you'll have a one-on-one meeting with an admissions counselor. They will assess your application and provide you with an immediate decision regarding your acceptance.
4: Receive Your Decision
By the end of your visit, you’ll receive an instant enrollment decision, giving you a clear path forward. Our team will discuss your acceptance status and outline the next steps.

Availability, Eligibility, and What to Bring
- Dates and Availability: Instant Decision Days are held periodically throughout the year. Check our Open House page for upcoming dates and availability.
- Eligibility: High school seniors and transfer students are eligible to participate. Please ensure all required documents are gathered before your visit.
- What to Bring: Bring your completed application, high school or college transcripts, standardized test scores (if applicable), and any other relevant documents.
Follow these steps to get an instant enrollment decision
- Register for an upcoming Open House or admissions event.
- Complete your application to York College.
- Request a copy of your official high school transcript and your standardized test score (test scores are not required), and bring them with you to York’s Open House or admissions event.
NOTE: If you are unable to get official transcripts before attending an event, you can bring a copy of the transcripts to be conditionally admitted, pending your official transcript.
Follow these steps to get an instant enrollment decision
- Register for an upcoming Open House or admissions event.
- Complete your application to York College.
- Bring your official transcripts, in a sealed envelope, from ALL the colleges/universities you’ve attended. If you have less than 15 credits, we will also need your official high school transcript and official SAT or ACT test scores (if taken).
- Transcripts can also be mailed to us before the event.
