From the Desk of the President: Martin Luther King Jr. Day Message from President Gunter-Smith
January 14, 2022To the York College Community:
York College of Pennsylvania is a place where our students are given the opportunity to achieve their full potential to live purposeful lives, regardless of background and without distinction to culture or ethnicity. We are proud of the many ways our students, faculty, and staff contribute to a more just, a more fruitful, a more equitable society for all – whether it be here in our region or across the country in the many areas where our Spartan alumni reside. There is no better time to reaffirm this principle of living a life of purpose, a life of service to others, than over this holiday weekend honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a leader who envisioned just such a world.
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”
~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Sincerely,
Pamela Gunter-Smith, PhD
