President Burns Visits Capitol Hill for NAICU Advocacy Day

President Thomas Burns presented Sen. John Fetterman, a York native, with a York College sweatshirt to add to his vast collection. The meeting was held during the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) 2024 Annual Meeting and Advocacy Day. The event, held in Washington, D.C., from February 4-7, is described as “the premier policy and advocacy event for presidents and other senior leaders to learn about the most pressing policy issues affecting private, nonprofit higher education.” Burns also made visits to the offices of Rep. Scott Perry and Rep. Lloyd Smucker, whose districts include parts of York County.
