Winter Fest 2024: A Sparkling Kickoff to the Winter Season for York College Students
York, PA — Grab your scarves and your mittens because Winter Fest is back at York College of Pennsylvania, and this year's event promises to be a winter wonderland like no other! On Tuesday, December 3, the campus will light up with festive cheer, thanks to York College President Dr. Thomas Burns flipping the switch on colorful lights to officially kick off the season at 5:45 p.m.
Winter Fest events will run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and there's something for everyone. Students can head over to the Welcome Table inside the Student Union to pick up their official Winter Fest guide, with everything on campus during the event, from food to giveaways and special surprises.
Want to win some awesome YCP swag? Fill out your name and email on the guide and return it to the Welcome Table. You may be selected to receive one of three gift baskets packed with the best YCP gear.
Students are encouraged to stroll through the campus to check out the diverse activities, which will pop up around the main campus inside building lobbies. Think cozy vibes, cheerful activities, and plenty of opportunities to make new memories with friends.
And let's talk about food—what's a winter celebration without some delicious snacks? Make sure you swing by the fire pits between the Student Union and Waldner Performing Arts Center, where you can roast s'mores to your heart's content. Nothing says "winter" quite like gooey marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers by a warm fire. A new addition this year will be the Rollin' Donut food truck with free super-sized doughnuts!
Oh, and did we mention the giveaways? There will be plenty of those, too—along with a few surprises we're sure you'll love. The best part is that nearly everything is free!
