York College Announces New Dean for Graham School of Business
April 06, 2021Nick Delener, Ph.D., has been named dean of York College’s Graham School of Business. Delener has served since September 2019 as interim dean of the Graham School, where he established the Executive in Residence Program and initiated the development of several programs, including the Master of Science in Data Analytics and a minor in risk management.
Delener has become a key member of the academic leadership team at the College, according to Provost Laura Niesen de Abruña. “We are very impressed with Nick’s leadership of the Graham School, which has already produced a new strategic plan for the School, several new academic programs, and has begun the process of seeking AACSB candidacy. We are excited to have him build on this great foundation as we look to the future of the Graham School of Business.”
Delener formerly served as interim dean of the School of Business and Economics at Indiana University East in Richmond, Ind. Prior to this position, he served as the founding dean of the School of Global Business at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pa. Before Arcadia, he served as dean of the School of Business at the State University of New York (SUNY) Old Westbury, and as associate dean for academic affairs and director of International Business Studies for the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University in New York City.
As a faculty member, Delener was a tenured full professor in St. John’s Tobin College of Business. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Uludag University in Turkey, an MBA in marketing and finance from New York University, and a doctorate in marketing and international business from the Graduate Center, The City University of New York (CUNY).
Delener has authored about 20 books and more than 75 articles in prestigious refereed journals. He has also served as a consultant to several companies, including Marriott Corp., Ellington Duval Inc., and Worldwide Marketing Group among others.
