York College of Pennsylvania is strengthening its commitment to affordable education by expanding its campus visit incentive for future Spartans.

Through May 8, students who visit campus can earn up to $4,000 in tuition savings simply by experiencing York College firsthand and making an informed decision about their future.

The enhanced incentive rewards students who take the time to explore campus before enrolling for Fall 2026.

Visiting once between March 1 and May 8, 2026, submitting the FAFSA, and enrolling for Fall 2026 results in $1,000 off first-year tuition. Visiting a second time during that same timeframe increases the award to $4,000 over four years ($1,000 per year).

Students who visited before March 1 are also eligible for the $1,000 visit grant, but those visiting between March 1 and May 8 must submit the FAFSA to qualify.

Vice President of Enrollment Management Brian Hazlett, Ed.D., said the initiative reflects York College’s belief that higher education should be accessible to every student.

“Affordable education is a cornerstone value at York College,” Dr. Hazlett said. “We know that when students step onto our campus, meet our faculty, and experience our community, they can truly see themselves here. Students are more confident in their college decision the more they visit and get familiar with campus. And we want to reward them for taking that important step.”

For current students, the value of a York education goes far beyond tuition savings.

Nolan Smith ’26, President of the Student Senate and College tour guide, said visiting campus is often a “light bulb moment,” when future Spartans realize what sets York College apart.

"The opportunity to visit York College allows prospective students to truly see what it's like to be a Spartan,” Smith said. “The value of speaking with current students, touring campus landmarks, and embedding oneself in the YCP community is the best way to determine whether we're the right fit for one's college experience."

Smith added that York College’s hands-on learning, internship opportunities, and campus involvement help students feel more prepared with they graduate.

"One of the biggest ways York distinguishes itself from other institutions is its emphasis on a practical, career-focused education. From project-based learning courses to our internship-for-credit opportunities, YCP prepares its students in a way that ensures their success in both the job and graduate school markets," said Smith.

“A second visit allows students to dig even deeper,” Dr. Hazlett said. “Attend a class, meet future classmates, ask financial aid questions, and picture what your next four years might look like. We believe that level of connection matters, and we’re proud to attach meaningful financial support to it.”

With the May 8 deadline approaching, students are encouraged to schedule their visits soon and submit their FAFSA to maximize their award eligibility.

At York College, exploring your future just became even more rewarding.
