York College of PA Earns 2022-2023 Military Friendly® School Designation
March 08, 2022York College has earned the Silver 2022-2023 Military Friendly® School Designation. Institutions were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 1,800 schools participated in this year's survey, with 665 earning the awards level designations in Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The 2022-2023 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine.
Schools were evaluated on their ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
“York College follows the example set by our campus community members who are veterans by striving to do more,” said President Pamela Gunter-Smith. “While we offer a number of programs to welcome and assist veterans, we continue to look for more opportunities to support those who have served our country.”
“Military Friendly® is committed to transparency and providing consistent data driven standards in our designation process,” said Kayla Lopez, National Director of Military Partnerships, Military Friendly®. “This creates a competitive atmosphere that encourages colleges to consistently evolve and invest in their programs. Schools who achieve designation show true commitment and dedication in their efforts.”
