York College Of Pa Earns Silver 2024-2025 Military Friendly® School Award
York College has earned the Silver 2024-25 Military Friendly® School award, making this the 14th year it has been recognized.
Over 1,800 schools participated in the 2024-2025 survey, with 537 earning the awards-level designations in Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Institutions were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. They were evaluated on their ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence, and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
“York College has been recognized for a number of years with the Military Friendly® designation because of its commitment to veterans,” said President Thomas Burns. “That commitment starts with their interest in the College and continues throughout their education and after graduation. Veterans are mature learners with vast experience who play an important role on our campus."
Information about York College student veteran programs may be found here.
The 2024-2025 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in G.I. Jobs magazine's May issue and found at www.militaryfriendly.com.
"Military Friendly® is committed to transparency and providing consistent data-driven standards in our process. This creates a competitive atmosphere that encourages institutions to consistently evolve their programs,” said Kayla Lopez, Director of Military Partnerships, Military Friendly®. “Award-level schools have gone beyond that standard, showing true commitment and dedication in their efforts.”
