York College President Dr. Thomas Burns Joins Transition Team for Pennsylvania Attorney General-Elect Dave Sunday
York College of Pennsylvania President Dr. Thomas Burns has accepted an invitation
to join Attorney General-Elect Dave Sunday’s transition team, where he will serve as an advisor
on educational matters facing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Burns’ appointment places him among a distinguished group of leaders from across the
state tasked with helping to shape the incoming administration’s priorities.
“It is an honor to join Attorney General-Elect Sunday’s transition team and to contribute to a
vision that prioritizes education as a cornerstone of Pennsylvania’s future,” said Dr. Burns. “I
look forward to working with leaders across the Commonwealth to ensure our students have the
resources and opportunities they need to thrive.”
As part of the Education committee, Dr. Burns will work with key groups to gather feedback
about their experiences with the Office of the Attorney General, including what’s going well and
what can be improved. Sunday emphasized education's critical role in the state’s success.
