By now you’ve heard the news that YCP’s very own alumnus Zac Clark ‘06 is a contestant on The Bachelorette, season 16. A journey like never before, this season was supposed to start filming back in April 2020, until it was halted as a result of COVID-19, but Clare and her bachelors were willing to do what it took to safely find love. Each contestant, including Zac C., was required to be tested and quarantined in their rooms at La Quinta Resort until a negative test indicated it was safe to participate.
With the proverbial green light, it was “Clare time, go time,” for Zac C. We didn’t have to wait too long to see this Spartan on our screens again. Zac was one of the men who arrived in the first limo to meet the Bachelorette. Though he didn’t come out of the limo chanting the Spartan Spirit Check, his introduction was still pretty strong. 'C’ must stand for charming—because he made a sweet first impression on Clare.
Unfortunately, thanks to some cocktail party drama between fellow contestant Yosef and some other dude who was sent home already, Zac didn’t get a chance to talk to the lady of the hour (or hours—those cocktail parties last until dawn!). Luckily, being “a sweet guy” was reason enough for Clare to give him a rose. Zac C. remains to fight for love for another episode next week (10/20) and we get a reason to look forward to a Tuesday.
Until next week Spartans...
