The mission of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee at York College of Pennsylvania is to educate, engage, and empower the College community by establishing partnerships and resources to create and sustain an environment that prioritizes inclusion, belonging and the empowerment of our diverse community among our students, faculty, and staff. In addition, its priorities will focus on promoting a learning and working environment free from discrimination and accessible to all of our community members.

The DEI Committee oversees YCP's diversity and inclusion initiatives by establishing yearly goals based on the concerns and needs of the YCP community. The composition of the committee consists of faculty, staff, and current students. It conducts its work in a holistic manner which challenges the campus climate to think and act broadly on inclusion, as well as be an advocate for the increasing diversity of our campus and community. Meeting monthly, the DEI Committee's efforts are fueled by consistently and actively listening to feedback from student groups and faculty/staff councils.
