The Outdoor Leadership Minor combines leadership principles with outdoor knowledge, skills, and activities. Students will learn concepts and techniques for designing and leading outdoor activities, events, and experiences. Coursework for the minor provides a variety of opportunities for experiential, hands-on learning and leading while engaging in outdoor recreation pursuits such as backpacking, camping, flatwater paddling, rock climbing, and wilderness first aid.

Athletic Coaching Minor

This minor will provide broad-based knowledge of the unique challenges that a youth sports administrator or coach will encounter.  Students will gain knowledge and practice application and analysis of information as it relates to the following: child and adolescent development; principles of coaching; response to emergencies; risk management and prevention of injuries; and administration of youth sports.

Education Minor

The Education minor provides students with foundational knowledge and experiences focused on the field of Education. This minor is designed for students who are interested in working in a professional capacity with children in roles outside that of the traditional classroom teaching or for students seeking a better understanding of the educational system with the possibility of later exploring a career in Education through a non-traditional path.

Esports Management Minor

This minor will provide broad-based knowledge and skills related to the unique opportunities and challenges that a manager in the Esports industry will encounter. Students will be able to study the industry from multiple perspectives and take part in relevant real-world experience.
