York College's Theatre program to present "A Christmas Carol" on Dec. 2nd

York College of Pennsylvania’s Theatre Program will present “A Christmas Carol,” their annual holiday show, at 10 a.m., Dec. 2, in the Waldner Performing Arts Center. The production is directed by Jenny Donovan and adapted by Associate Professor of Theatre Suzanne Delle. Admission is free, and there is general seating. For more information, call 717-600-3868.

York College will restage its 45-minute version of this holiday classic with an even more festive cast. First-year Theatre majors Danny Haskins (Palmerton, Pa.) and Brae Bixler (York) will step into the roles of Ebenezer Scrooge and Bob Cratchit, while senior Theatre major Eva Heier (Kingsville, Md.) will portray the ghost of Marley. The rest of the cast will be comprised of students from the College’s “Intro to Theater” courses taught by Delle.

Ebenezer Scrooge usually has two things on his mind: work and money, but more so the latter. When the ghost of his former business partner comes to him late in the night, Scrooge, along with the ghosts of his Past, Present, and Future, embarks on a journey to help Scrooge change his ways. Because if he doesn’t, it may very well end up being the death of him.
