A Scholars Program that Strengthens Students' Leadership Skills
The Gordon family established the program "for the purpose of increasing the number and visibility of Jewish students" at the College. Therefore, Gordon Scholars are expected to serve as active members of Hillel and leaders of Jewish student life during their time at YCP. This scholars program works to strengthen students' leadership skills, helping them acquire Jewish language and thought to frame their understanding of leadership.
Gordon Scholars build and demonstrate leadership abilities in group and individual initiatives developed through "design thinking" processes. In addition to leadership, these students exhibit a desire to be part of a cohort experience and show a demonstrable level of grit. They represent a broad range of Jewish backgrounds and are passionate about learning and Jewish life.
This scholarship application is currently closed and will open for fall 2025 shortly.
