Everything you need to get involved, have fun, and enjoy the college experience

York College has more than 100 student clubs and organizations of various interests, sizes, and purposes. Organizations range from academic honor societies to Greek living, from drama to publishing, from exploring cultures to joining student government. 

Our student organizations are an integral and active part of campus life. These groups provide students with a wealth of opportunities to develop and further enhance their leadership skills and interests.

  • Academic Organizations

    AIGA: Graphic Arts & Design

    Alpha Chi Sigma is a national college honor society whose purpose is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those achieving such distinction. At York College, only the top five percent of the junior class and the top 10 percent of the senior class are admitted to membership.

    Alpha Kappa Delta is an international sociology honor society that seeks to acknowledge and promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology, the research of social problems, and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to an improvement in the human condition.

    Alpha Phi Sigma is a national criminal justice honor society with the goal to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity.

    ASCM (Association of Supply Chain Management)
    The goal of this organization is to facilitate learning opportunities outside the classroom and provide valuable networking opportunities with industry professionals. Students receive faculty support and departmental resources to further their growth as supply chain professionals.

    Chemistry Society
    The goals of the club are to explore new areas within chemistry, provide peer support and foster a social network among students by organizing field trips, talk, and other projects.


    German Club
    The German Club is committed to making the culture and language of the German-speaking world accessible, meaningful and enjoyable to the York College community and the wider community. The German Club accomplishes its mission by meeting to set goals and a program of activities for each semester.

    Hospitality Society
    The York College of Pennsylvania Hospitality Society seeks to build, strengthen and promote the connection between students and alumni by creating networking opportunities for students and encouraging their involvement in Hospitality Organizations.

    Historical Activities Society
    Historical Activities Society is an organization devoted to the exploration of career opportunities for students in the fields of History, Political Science, and International Studies. The Society arranges public lectures by professionals in the related fields (professors, authors and museum curators); holds "roundtable" discussions on current controversies; and participates in field trips to museums, archives and conferences. The Society also provides members with the opportunity to gain work experience in their prospective fields through the Daughters of the American Revolution, the York Historical Society, and other such organizations in the York County area.

    Kappa Delta Pi is an international education honor society to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching.

    Pre-Medical and Allied Health Society
    The Pre-Medical Society is an organization open to any students interested in the medical field. It provides a template for peer support, course guidance and application preparation, offering opportunities for involvement in medically oriented activities, fundraisers and educational experiences. Health and wellness are promoted on campus through increasing awareness, education and prevention. For more information, contact us at

    Pre-Law Society
    The Pre-Law Society is open to all majors. It is dedicated to creating a support system for those students who are interested in a career in the legal field. Members learn about choosing a law school, taking the LSAT and more. The Pre-Law Society provides a link between law school hopefuls and the advisors who can assist them in getting there. It is a great way to pursue independent studies and internships within the legal field.

    PRSSA: Public Relations Student Society of America

    Psi Chi
    The International Honor Society in Psychology's mission is to recognize and promote excellence in the science and application of psychology.

    Psychology Club
    The Psychology Club of York College and its members shall respect the dignity and worth of the individual and strive for the preservation and protection of fundamental human rights. The members shall be committed to increasing knowledge of human behavior and of people's understanding of themselves and others, and to the utilization of such knowledge for the promotion of human rights.

    Recreation and Leisure Student Association

    SEA: Student Education Association
    S.E.A. is open to all students interested in learning more about public education. Membership requirements include speakers, community service and group events.

    SNAP: Student Nurses Association of PA
    Membership in this pre-professional organization is open to any student pursuing a nursing degree. It is a constituent of the National Student Nurses Association and the Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania. S.N.A.P. endeavors to promote nursing professionalism through its many health-promoting activities, awareness of health-related issues, and interaction with the nursing program, including peers, faculty, and curriculum.

    Sport Business Association
    The SBA is an organization for any sport-minded individual, particularly for those who have aspirations to work in the sport industry. We host guest speakers throughout the year, in addition taking part in fundraisers to enhance students' professional development and networking opportunities. Each fall, the organization has an opportunity to work gameday operations for select Baltimore Ravens home games. All YCP students are welcome!

    Student Managed Fund
    Providing students of all majors with real-life experience in investment management with real money since 2016. 

    Tau Upsilon Alpha
    Tau Upsilon Alpha is a program of the National Organization for Human Services (NOHS). The purposes of the Society are to honor academic excellence; to foster lifelong learning, leadership, and development; and to promote excellence in service to humanity.

    Phi Sigma Pi Gender Inclusive National Honor Fraternity

    Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity is a gender-inclusive organization dedicated to promoting lifelong learning, inspiring Members to lead, and cultivating lasting fraternal bonds, while always conducting our lives with honor. We consecrate ourselves to a life of social service with the goal of improving humanity through our principles: Scholarship, Leadership, and Fellowship.

    Hispanic Cultural Society
    The Hispanic Cultural Society is a group organized to provide unity and leadership to students interested in stimulating and educating other students about the Hispanic culture. The organization is open to all students.

    LAMBDA: LGBT Alliance 
    LAMBDA works to provide the York College of Pennsylvania student body with a positive, supportive organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning individuals and their many allies. LAMBDA is a social club for all students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. LAMBDA also serves as a confidential support group for students who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. Through educational activities and events, LAMBDA hopes to make York College and the community more tolerant and accepting of all people.

    Unity Club
    The Unity Club is a service group organized to provide unity and leadership to students who are interested in stimulating and educating other students and the community on topics concerning minorities. The organization is open to all students.

  • Publications/Communications

    WVYC: The York College Radio Station
    WVYC FM88.1 is located on the upper level of the Student Union. The FM station is a 10 watt, noncommercial educational facility operated completely by students of the College and under the guidance of the Department of Communication and the Arts.

    The station is on air seven days a week while school is in session—thus providing news, sports, education and a variety of music for the College and the York community. It also serves as a key training facility for York College Communication majors.

    Student-led school newspaper that aims to inform the York College of Pennsylvania community.

  • Religious Clubs

    Christian Fellowship Organization
    Christian Fellowship Organization is a student-led Christian group that welcomes students of all faith traditions, as well as those exploring Christianity.  CFO grounds itself in Faith, Fellowship, and Service, through weekly Bible study, fun activities, and outreach through local and national charitable organizations.

    This national organization offers spiritual, social, and community activities for YCP's Jewish students. Hillel allows students from different backgrounds in Judaism to come together as a positive force for themselves, the College, and the community.

    Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship
    In response to God's love, grace, and truth: The purpose of Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship/U.S.A. is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord; growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world.

    Newman Club
    The Newman Catholic Community of York College of Pennsylvania welcomes students of all faiths to deepen their faith and relationship with God. We are dedicated to creating an environment where the students can engage and grow spiritually while being part of social events, retreats, service projects, and of course, Mass.

    Allies Committed to Social Justice (A.C.T.S.)

    Anime Club 
    The purpose of the Anime club is to expose the student population to Japanese Animation. To create an open atmosphere to exchange ideas and knowledge in regard to aspects of Anime as well as Japanese culture; to hold marathons and meetings to watch and discuss anime together as a group; to involve the members in field trips to Anime conventions and other aspects of Japanese culture in addition to gaining a broader scope on widely attended events surrounding Japanese culture. 

    Best Buddies
    The mission of Best Buddies Colleges is to provide an opportunity for college students to be matched in a one-to-one friendship with individuals who have intellectual disabilities through communication and social gatherings. Social experiences and relationships are a part of life; unfortunately, individuals with intellectual disabilities have historically been excluded from many of the social opportunities that most people enjoy.

    Without friends and family, we are alone. In the past, individuals with intellectual disabilities have not had the opportunity to have friends outside of their own environment. By becoming a College Buddy, volunteers offer a Buddy the chance to explore a new way of life. By becoming a College Buddy, you will not only befriend someone with a developmental disability, but you will also learn about yourself in the process.

    Colleges Against Cancer
    Colleges Against Cancer is an organization dedicated to spreading awareness/prevention to the college campus about the dangers of cancer. We hope to spread the word and help raise money to find a cure for the devastating illness. Through the organization, students are actively involved with York College's annual Relay for Life event, which is held in the spring, along with various fundraisers and other events. The organization is a great way to get involved with not only the campus but the community as well!

    Dance Team
    The York College Dance Team is made up of a group of students who love to dance and show dedication to the team. Our hard work and enthusiasm are seen when we perform at almost every home basketball game, Spartapalooza, and other charitable events throughout the academic school year.

    Dance Excel
    The purpose of the team is to promote different styles of dance within the school and the surrounding community. These styles include, but are not limited to, Hip-Hop, Pop, Street, and Latin Dance. The team will also promote a healthy lifestyle and maintain a positive standing within the campus and community.

    The E-Sports Club is a new but large club containing around 100 students from many different gaming backgrounds. Our goal here at YCP is to create a safe space for all gamers regardless of being interested in E-Sports or not. We seek to be an inclusive friendly club that looks to hold a few events each month to develop and strengthen a community which is revolved around gaming and having fun. Even if you're not an E-Sports fanatic, you can still be part of the club and bond with many others through the interest of gaming!

    Habitat for Humanity
    Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer organization that helps to build homes with families in need. The group has workdays and organizes other social events. No experience is necessary, and all are invited to join in our quest to better all communities. Habitat’s latest trip was to Mississippi to aid homes that were lost to destruction.

    Improv Troupe
    YCP Improv encourages shenanigans of all sorts; whether it's silly walks, ridiculous scenes, or even wacky props, YCP Improv never fails to be fun! If you would like to learn the basic elements of improvisational theatre in a relaxed and open atmosphere, feel free to check us out. We love new members of all experience levels and meet on Friday afternoons in the upstairs lobby of the Humanities (WPAC) building.

    Peer Support Network (PSN)
    This group seeks to provide its members with the skills to identify, to reach out, and help peers in distress. The focus is not to provide counseling, but to act as a source of encouragement and assist in connecting peers to resources on and/or off campus as needed. Members also participate in outreach programs on campus that promote health and wellness.

    Rhapsody is a student-run a cappella group that is open to all students regardless of major. Look for audition information during the first week of each semester.

    Role Playing Games Club
    The goal of the Role Playing Games Club is to give people who enjoy table-top role-playing games a place to play together and form a community. Within this community, people can find others to form groups to play these games with.

    SAA: Student Alumni Association 
    The Student Alumni Association (SAA) will develop a means of interaction and serve as a liaison among students, alumni, faculty, and the community.  SAA will be involved with York College events/traditions which include Fall Fest, Spring Alumni Weekend, New Student Receptions, Success After College, Graduation, Move-in weekend, and other alumni events throughout the school year.

    Ski and Outdoor Club
    The YCP Ski and Outdoor Club is run by the students for the students and is now the largest non-Greek organization on campus. The Ski and Outdoor Club seeks adventurous individuals who enjoy skiing and outdoor activities. There is no admission fee to join, only your love for the outdoors. Special events are planned throughout the year; many where discount rates are offered. Come out to meet new friends and experience some wild adventures.
