The Academic Success Center is committed to helping YCP faculty promote and support academic success for their students. We offer several services to support faculty, including presentations, workshops, and an assignment prompt review service. The ASC also coordinates with faculty to hire the peer tutors who will work with students in your classes.

We rely on faculty recommendations/endorsements to help us hire excellent students to serve as peer tutors. If you have worked with a student that you think would make a strong peer tutor based on their knowledge of course materials and ability to communicate effectively with others, use the Tutor Recommendation Form to share recommendations with the ASC.
We offer support for faculty by conducting in-class presentations and workshops. These could be short, simple presentations about the services the Academic Success Center provides to make sure students know how to connect with available resources—or we can lead workshops related to academic coaching or writing-related topics including:
Would you like to get a student's perspective on a new or revised assignment you're planning for your class? Consider using our Assignment Prompt Review service, in which a Writing Tutor will review an assignment sheet and complete a review worksheet answering questions about how they understand the purpose and requirements of the assignment, as well as any questions or confusion they have.
