Delta Alpha Pi International Honors Society (DAPi) is dedicated to recognizing the academic achievements of students with disabilities. DAPi facilitates the development of leadership skills, advocacy, and education, with a focus to foster the opportunity to change the perception and acceptance surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion of individuals with disability.

Founded: 2004 in East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania

Delta Alpha Pi Membership Information

Eligibility Requirements for Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students who are interested in applying to Delta Alpha Pi should meet the following criteria: 

  • Present with a documented disability and be registered to receive services through York College Student Accessibility Services.
  • Complete a minimum of 24 credits.
  • Maintain an overall Quality Point Average of 3.10.
  • Demonstrate an interest in disability issues.
  • Complete a total of six DAPi-approved volunteer service hours per semester. All DAPi approved service hours are focused on the development of leadership skills, advocacy, and education, with a focus to foster the opportunity to change the perception and acceptance surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion of individuals with disability.

Eligibility Requirements for Graduate Students

Graduate students who are interested in applying to Delta Alpha Pi should meet the following criteria: 

  • Present with a documented disability and be registered to receive services through York College Student Accessibility Services.
  • Complete a minimum of 18 credits.
  • Maintain an overall Quality Point Average of 3.30.
  • Complete a total of six DAPi-approved volunteer service hours per semester. All DAPi approved service hours are focused on the development of leadership skills, advocacy, and education, with a focus to foster the opportunity to change the perception and acceptance surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion of individuals with disability.
