Cultural Series: Art

Artist Matthew Borgen poses, arms crossed, in front of a wall of his artwork — a series of comic-style speech bubbles

Explore the visual arts. Promote learning, discovery, and appreciation.

Comprising three exhibition spaces — two on campus in Wolf Hall and one at Marketview Arts in downtown York — the York College Galleries serve a vital role in our community by attracting nationally and internationally renowned artists to York to share their work and ideas.

Our 2023-2024 Cultural Series continues our commitment to intercultural learning and global studies, as well as the value of the academic art gallery as both a space for contemplation of form and an interdisciplinary space to consider urgent contemporary social issues.
