Computer Engineering
From Consumer Products to Computer Hardware — Computer Engineers Make it Work.
Computer engineers draw upon mathematics, science and computer science to design computer or microprocessor-controlled devices, systems, and processes. At York College, we focus on embedded systems, which are customized, standalone systems under computer/microprocessor control. You’ll get to work right away with a first-year design project — learning by doing is how we approach education.
Our program is led by mentoring faculty with terminal degrees and specialty areas of focus. Upon graduation, you’ll have all the skills, knowledge and experience you need to excel in an entry level engineer position or move on to graduate study in engineering.
The B.S. in Computer Engineering degree program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Computer Engineering.
