What Are Matching Gifts?
Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1 or even higher. Minimum and maximum amounts vary by company, employee, and nonprofit type.
The Matching Gift Submission Process
Submit your donation to York College of Pennsylvania (be sure to check the box indicating that your company will match your gift).
- Search your employer's website or check with your Human Resources department for information about the organization's matching gift program guidelines.
- Complete the provided submission form and submit it to the designated contact person at your organization.
- Once processed and approved, the organization will make a matching donation to YCP!
